Cultural Evenings at Croydon
The Cultural Evenings at Croydon are an opportunity for students of the School, along with family and friends, to enjoy engaging talks on a wide range of topics.
The talks have proven extremely popular over recent years, and are a lovely way to spend an evening in good company. Recent topics have been extremely varied, ranging from Meditation and classical Music to sustainable living, Happiness and how to be of real sevice!
The talks are held in the grounds of the beautiful Wyreena Community Centre, where the School of Philosophy has offered its Philosophy courses for many years.

Dr Stephen McKenzie will present a short talk 'Philosophy at Work - what makes Philosophy work?
Friday, 2nd December 2011
Philosophy gives us general principles that can help turn any work into something we want to do, rather than something we are paid to do. Philosophy can also help us turn our own particular job, no matter how challenging into something that we could do for freedom. Come along and find out how.
Followed by a social get together.
All students, family and friend welcome.
