A Day with Shakespeare

Students of the School of Philosophy along with families and friends are warmly invited to attend ‘A Day With Shakespeare’. It will be an interactive day of entertainment including hearing and playing with the Bard’s words, and learning about his life and philosophy.

The Day With Shakespeare will be held at MacLaren Hall, Through St, Hawthorn. It will begin at 9am on Sunday October 14 and finish at 4pm. Participants will have the opportunity to participate in 3 of the 6 workshops offered including:

  • Unlocking the Sonnet – Stewart Morritt

  • Acting workshop - ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ – Stewart Morritt

  • The Mindful Bard – Stewart Morritt and Craig Hassed

  • Shakespeare, Love and Beauty – Helen Nichol

  • Shakespeare’s Songs – Paul O Brien

  • Was Shakespeare a Platonist? – Craig Hassed
